British Pie Week returns from 7th - 11th March! Our gastro-inns are somewhat renowned for their delicious handcrafted Pie of the Day, so to celebrate our love for this comforting British dish, we're offering a variety of Pie specials throughout the week at each...

The Fishpool Inn, Delamere are featuring four VIPs (Very Important Pies) all week including:

  • Weetwood Ale, Ridings Reserve beef, button mushroom and pearl onion pie, creamed potato, garden peas and rich gravy

  • Honey roasted root vegetable, feta cheese and basil pie, hand cut chips and buttered savoy cabbage

  • Classic Fisherman's pie; salmon, haddock and North Atlantic prawns, aged cheddar cheese, mashed potato, garden peas and crusty bread

  • Welsh Valley lamb, apricot and mint pie, hand cut chips, roasted root vegetables and rich pie sauce

 

The Pheasant Inn, Tattenhall will be offering a different pie each day of the week alongside their traditional Steak and Ale. 

Monday 7th - Gammon, Leek and Vintage Cheddar
Tuesday 8th Moroccan Lamb and Apricot
Wednesday 9th - Traditional Cottage Pie
Thursday 10th - Chicken, Mushroom and Tarragon
Friday 11th Ridings Reserve Steak and Blacksticks Blue Cheese

Of course, a true pie enthusiast would visit every day to sample each of these delicious varieties!

 

The Bear's Paw, Sandbach will be featuring a selection of special pies throughout the week including;

  • Steak and Ale with handcut chips and garden peas

  • Pork, Apple and Pancetta with creamy mash and roasted root vegetables

  • Cottage pie topped with mash and cheddar cheese and served with pickled red cabbage

  • Cheese, onion and potato in hot water pastry with tomato, rocket and red onion salad
